In its latest monthly economic report in October, the Ministry of Finance had said that India’s growth prospects remain ‘robust’, primarily on the back of strong private demand and consumption. The official gross domestic product (GDP) growth projection for the current financial year (FY24) is at around 6.5%. Most independent agencies also project a similar figure.
